M8 Entertainment Inc. (“M8” or the “Corporation”) (TSX: MEE.A and MEE.B), a leading film entertainment company engaged in the production, financing, acquisition, and worldwide licensing of theatrical feature films in a variety of genres, reported today that Jenna Sanz-Agero has resigned as Co-President of M8 Entertainment effective September 8, 2006.
Ms. Sanz-Agero, who has been with the Corporation since September of 2003 (and served a previous employment prior to 2000) and has served as its President and Co-President since February of 2005, is resigning her position as Co-President of the Corporation due to the growing demands of her musical career, which no longer allow her to focus the level of attention required to serve effectively as Co-President
Mr. Stewart Hall, currently Co-President and member of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, will assume the responsibilities of sole President of the Corporation.
Mr. Sammy Lee, Chairman of the Board, commented, “Stewart Hall is more than capable of succeeding Jenna in his role as sole President of the Corporation. He has done an excellent job as a producer, executive producer, member of the Board of Directors, and as Co-President, and I have no doubt that, as sole President, he will competently guide the Corporation through its future endeavors.”
Mr. Hall commented on Ms. Sanz-Agero's service with the Company, “We are all sad to see Jenna leave the company, and we extend our gratitude to her for her years of service to Media 8. Jenna has been a valuable component of the Corporation and her presence will be missed. Nevertheless, we wish her the best of luck in her new career.”
