Media 8 Entertainment, a leading film entertainment company engaged in the production, financing, acquisition, and worldwide licensing of theatrical feature films in a variety of genres, announced today that it has acquired the rights to EICHMANN for international distribution and will be introducing the film to buyers for the first time at the upcoming Cannes market.
EICHMANN is a powerful historical drama based upon the final confession of Adolf Eichmann, made before his execution in Israel, as he is interrogated about his role in Hitler's Third Reich. Captured by intelligence operatives in Argentina, 15 years after World War II, Eichmann - the World's most wanted man - must be broken down by Captain Avner Less, a young Israeli Police Officer. The two men confront each other in a battle of wills - the result of which will change the young nation of Israel forever. Gradually, Avner uncovers the harrowing truth about Eichmann's role as the architect of Hitler's plan for the “final solution,” which killed millions of Jews, including Avner's own father.
EICHMANN features an all-star international cast including: Thomas Kretschmann (King Kong, Downfall, The Pianist, U-571); Troy Garity (After the Sunset, Barbershop, Bandits); Franka Potente (The Bourne Identity, Blow, Run Lola Run) and Stephen Fry (V for Vendetta, Gosford Park) and is directed by Robert Young (Fierce Creatures). EICHMANN was produced by Karl Richards, executive produced by Adrian Politowski, Jeremy Burdek, Nadia Khamlichi, Jimmy de Brabant, Michael Dounaev, and Mike Klein and co-produced by Peter Bevan, Jozsef Cirko and Michael Frenschkowski.
