Media 8 Entertainment, a leading film entertainment company engaged in the production, financing, acquisition, and worldwide licensing of theatrical feature films in a variety of genres, announced today that it has acquired the rights to the documentary film GOD GREW TIRED OF US and will be introducing it to buyers for the first time at the upcoming Cannes market.
Narrated by Nicole Kidman, GOD GREW TIRED OF US is the winner of the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, winner of Best Documentary at the 2006 Deauville Film Festival, and director Christopher Quinn was awarded the 2006 Emerging Documentary Filmmaker Award from the International Documentary Association for the film. Written and directed by Christopher Dillon Quinn and co-directed by Tommy Walker, the film explores the indomitable spirit of three “Lost Boys” from Sudan who leave their homeland, triumph over seemingly insurmountable adversities and move to America, where they build active and fulfilling new lives but remain deeply committed to helping the friends and family they have left behind.
